CompassRN Hosts Summer Nursing Camps to Inspire Future Healthcare Leaders in Underrepresented Communities
CompassRN, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is proud to announce its upcoming series of Summer Nurse Camps designed to foster interest and skills in nursing among teens and young adults from underrepresented communities. This initiative is part of CompassRN’s commitment to mentoring the next generation of diverse nurse leaders, providing invaluable hands-on experiences and exposure to the vast opportunities within the healthcare field.
Scheduled across various locations throughout Texas, including the University of St. Thomas and Baylor University, these camps offer a robust curriculum combining hands-on nursing skills in simulated environments with opportunities to meet and learn from seasoned nursing professionals and healthcare leaders.
Highlights of the Summer Nurse Camps include:

Since its inception in 2021, CompassRN has significantly grown its impact, with the annual cohorts of students making strides toward their nursing careers. This summer’s program is set to engage over 250 students, further cementing CompassRN’s role in shaping future healthcare professionals.
