Rève Preparatory Charter School is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Toscha L. Dickerson as the new superintendent and Anthony Berkenkamp as the principal of the school. This dynamic duo brings a wealth of experience and a fresh vision to Rève Preparatory, a charter school dedicated to providing innovative and inclusive education in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Dickerson steps into the role of superintendent with a rich background in both the corporate sector and higher education. With over 25 years of experience in procurement and contracts, coupled with her role as an assistant professor for the past seven years, Dr. Dickerson’s leadership is characterized by her commitment to excellence and innovation in education. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Grambling State University, a master’s degree from Southern University A&M College, and a Doctorate degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Supply Chain Management and Global Operations from Capella University.
Dr. Dickerson has been honored with various awards for her contributions to education and the community, reflecting her passion for inspiring and educating women and girls to reach their highest potential.
Mr. Berkenkamp takes on the role of principal with a strong background in educational leadership and a deep understanding of the needs of modern students and families. Having served as the 8th Grade Assistant Principal at KIPP Connect Middle School, and Assistant Principal at Alliance Patti & Peter Neuwirth Leadership Academy, Mr. Berkenkamp is renowned for his innovative approaches to fostering positive school culture and enhancing student success.
Holding both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in physical education from California State University, Mr. Berkenkamp’s educational philosophy centers on the belief that a positive school environment is key to student achievement. His track record of implementing effective behavioral systems, coaching and mentoring teachers, and leading by example sets a high standard for educational excellence at Rève Preparatory.
Together, Dr. Dickerson and Mr. Berkenkamp aim to lead Rève Preparatory Charter School towards new horizons of success and innovation in education.
